Cali Roller Players Move to Italy to Play PRO Roller Hockey
What's going on guys its, Stephen and Joey live from Italy! Three months ago we
moved to a town about an hour from Rome right on the beach in a city called
Civitavecchia to play Professional Roller Hockey for the Civitavecchia
Pirates in their A1 Division. Since being here we've become pretty famous
around town getting in the newspaper every other day, games being aired on
TV. Last week we traveled to France to compete in the Euro Cup which
consisted of the Grenobles Yetis (France), Tres Cantos (Spain), Zugo (Swiss)
and us. We won our first three games putting us in the final against the home
team (Grenoble). The rink was full of people for the game, one person told
us there was approx 1,000 people there, with drums and noise makers. It was
one of the craziest thing we've ever seen. We ended up beating the Yeti¹s
5-2 making us the winner of our Euro Cup. We finished the tournament with 6
goals each. Now we will advance to the Champions League, next month in
another France town called Anglet. There, we will be meeting up with our
fellow Americans Itan Chavira, Jr Cadiz who plays for Valladolid (Spain), Pj
Tallo for Mallorca (Spain) and the rumors that CJ Yoder, Bring Yingling and
Pete Messina will be coming for Asiago (Italy). It should be a great
tournament and people have already said it'll approx get close to 2000
people at the games. Anyways thats all for now, we just got back from
practice and crushed a couple of pizzas and Coca Cola, relaxing and living
the dream. Until next time Mission Hockey.
