After getting settled in, Montreal is now feeling like a home away from home. Normal operation throughout the day followed by hockey, hockey and more hockey. Having the opportunity to watch our Canadian counterparts conduct business day to day has opened my eyes (and hopefully others), which will inevitably make us even better at what we do.
Wednesday night is roller testing in St. J and the boys from CA came ready to snipe. First to 5 (pretty self explanatory) is played for a solid 2 hours, which leaves a lot of time for skating/ scoring. The facility was nice however it is primarily used for ball hockey (which is huge in CAN) and indoor soccer, which means no sport court.
Having to adapt to the smooth concrete/ roll-on surface was troubling at first but after 15 minutes or so we got our wheels underneath and it was go time.
Being able to take a step back and see how meticulous every piece of equipment is tested was amazing. The attention to detail not only by the individuals who were conducting the session but the testers as well will most definitely carry over to our So. Cal testing squad.
