When coming to Winternationals everyone has high expectations and these expectations do not always mean to win or to lose but to play hockey with everything you have. My expectations were set and my teams fulfilled their end of the bargain. All of my teams played their hearts out and have showed much improvement.
The Bauer Riot team took silver in the Peewee Silver division. A team built with 3 squirts, 5 first years, and 3 second year proved to be a team that will be a threat as the year goes on. Both goalies played great and will continue to battle out for the starting job. Great job kids!
Pandemonium Yellow was a team that was put together for the tournament and they impressed me. The team had a tough draw having to play Mission, Revision, Pama, and Aoki’s but tried their hardest and played tough hockey and will soon move up to the upper squad.
Pandemonium Blue, did not have the outcome that everyone had expected, but it wasn’t the final score that I was worried about. It was the way the team held together and has improved over the years. The team lost a player during the tournament due to an injury but the team kept together and played tough the rest of the tournament.
My favorite moment had to have been seeing the women’s platinum division battle it out. Power house rivals Mission and Revision playing for the cup.
