So I took a plane from San Jose to Tampa.. sat at the pool for a day and now it is time for Torhs America Winter Cup in Detroit. Being in Tampa for the past 3 and a half years I really haven’t collected that many winter clothes. So when I landed in Detroit I was in shock I guess is the correct word. The weather here was 10 degrees with snow showers and a blistering cold wind.
It for sure took time to get used to but before I knew it the hockey was here. The games started off strong with some Junior action and of course the squirt guys running around the rink. I have never been to Joe Dumars here in Detroit but I have to say I am a fan. They have a cool set up with Hockey, Food and Bar, Basketball and a Birthday Wonderland with tons of rides and games. Its like the city fair. Unreal….
Pro action is under way and the talk around the rink is Excitement upsetting the LA Pama Cyclones. Troy Reddman stood on his head but the young fearless excitement team proved to be too much in the first round robin game. I have a strong feeling Pama will bounce back tomorrow.
Hope everyone is wrapped up in their blankets or by a fire place. Stay warm people!
