Taylor Kane

Birth Date: 12-4-89

Height: 6'4"

Weight: 220

1)

Jeff Kotcher: How is it to be a part of the "Meat Line" in MLRH this season?

Taylor Kane: Being apart of the meat line is awesome. Couldn't ask for better line mates, the fact that we can all play the game at a high level combined with knowing there is 800-900 lbs between the 4 of us out there is very comforting and plays to our benefit greatly!

2)

JK: When did you start playing hockey?

TK: I started playing hockey when I moved to corona from long beach when I was 8. Started off simple just messing around in my garage and moved on to what I still consider my home rink (even though it has changed) inline sports center

3)

JK: What teams have you played on in the past?

TK: I definitely had my fair share of teams in the past. Let's see, played with corona knights, lucky charms, edge for my youth years before playing with hyper and eschelon for the first two years I was eligible to play pro, played one season with rbk, and now I am with the mission axiom

4)

JK: Which tournament was your favorite experience and why?

TK: There have been so many great tourneys over my hockey career. Hawaii this year for the Narch qualifier was so much fun but along with that I remember winning midget AAA in San Jose Narch 2008 when we had no business beating the team we played against but we came together as a team and did. Also one tourney that will always stick in my head was the Christmas Topcat tourney where if you won you got to go into Santa's workshop and get some new gear, that was a big deal to me when I was younger.

5)

JK: What advice would you give to the youth so they can improve their game and make it to a pro level?

TK: My advice for youth making it to the pro level would be just to work hard and stick with it. I found that the harder I worked over the years the more fun playing became.

6)

JK: When you think of Mission Hockey what comes to mind?

TK: When I think Mission Hockey I think of the industries trend setters. All the latest and greatest gear and apparel seem to be really popular with today's youth and to me it seems like Mission is the industry standard for roller hockey, when people talk about equipment it always seems to be compared to Mission Hockey

7)

JK: What teams will you be playing for this summer at NARCh?

TK: This summer I will be playing with Mission Axiom for Jr Platinum, D1, and Pro. I will also be trying out for team USA IIHF and playing State Wars for team California... I'm looking forward to a ton of hockey!

8)

JK: Besides hockey what are some hobbies you enjoy?

TK: When I'm not playing hockey you can catch me golfing or at my river house in Parker Arizona.
