For many hockey fans the Stanley Cup is a depressing time.  Not because your team did not make the playoffs but because the Stanley Cup Playoffs is the end of what we live for…hockey season.  For me, it is tough to turn on ESPN and not see that mullet of Barry Melrose.  Although its terrible that hockey is finish for the year, we were certainly spoiled with the great playoff run. 

A few days ago Mr. Jason Russell posted an article from NHL.com on the Mission Roller Hockey facebook.  This article was about EA Sports and how they simulated the entire playoffs.  EA Sports took seeds 1-8 and simulated every single game.  Although some scores were wrong, the series length and winners were all correct except Boston winning in game 7 last night in the Stanley Cup finals.  We thought that was pretty darn cool.

Now the real question comes.. are we really that upset that the NHL is done for the season? Well yes but no… its RHS as Mr. John Petito says from New York.  That’s right RHS.. ROLLER HOCKEY SEASON.  This is what we from Mission Hockey live for.  In just 7 days the trek begins.  J the trouble maker Russell will be off to Philly for NAYRHL for the first stop.  We are pumped to get this adventure going.
