The 13th International Inline Hockey World Championship of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) will begin on the first weekend of June (6/1 -6/7) in Ingolstadt. Due to the good feedback of the audience and the players after the ‘09 World Championship in Ingolstadt, ERC Ingolstadt made it happen for the second time: they received the permission to organize the championship. Sixteen nations from all around the world will participate in this event.
Defending World Champs Team Germany is playing against the strongest teams in the preliminary (Group B) as they are facing the strong Slovenes, just like last year’s silver medalist USA and bronze medalist Canada. After finishing preliminary, the protégés of coach Holzmann have to face an opponent of Group A, which might be the current world champion from Czech Republic, the five time champion from Sweden or the four time champion Finland.
